Example: It took 6 scoops of the brailer to bring the catch on board. The first two brails were full. The second two were 75% full. The last two were 50% full.

The brail tally in this case would be:

1 + 1 + 0.75 + 0.75 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 4.5 full brails

The brailer capacity is 800 kg:

4.5 × 800 kg = 3,600 kg = 3.6 mT
